World 3-5 is the fifth normal level of World 3 in New Super Mario Bros. 2. It is an underwater level filled with massive boulders that attempt to crush Mario or Luigi. This level is also the only level to feature Bloopers, which hide in pipes.

Layout[edit]

Mario begins in front of the pipe going underwater. A Roulette Block first appears, followed by a Blooper hiding in a pipe. More Bloopers can be found along with many coins. A boulder will then begin rolling down. A Blooper Nanny will then appear along with a P Switch which makes blue coins appear. A larger boulder will then appear. Further down is the checkpoint. A ? Block containing a Fire Flower follows along with more Bloopers and a Red Ring. This is followed by more boulders and the exit pipe. Back on land are several stone platforms leading to the flag pole.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is enclosed in several blocks which cannot be broken by Mario. Mario will need to move further until another boulder appears, then swim backwards, ensuring that the boulder can catch up, then allow it to break the blocks.
  • Star Coin 2: The player needs to look for a yellow pipe on the floor where the boulder used to break the blocks for the first Star Coin was, then warp through it. The second Star Coin can be found below several pipes that are infested with Bloopers. When Mario goes near the Star Coin, it will move to the other side of the room. Mario will need to avoid the Bloopers to obtain the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: Similarly to the first Star Coin, Mario needs to move further down from the Star Coin until a big boulder appears, then move backwards and allow the boulder to break the blocks enclosing the Star Coin.

Super Mario Crossover 3.5 New Release

Fall Guys is adding a new feature in the Season 3.5 update that’ll look familiar to anyone who’s played Super Mario 64 and had an inclination to toss a penguin over a cliff. The update will add a few of the battle royale game’s penguins to different levels that they weren’t normally in which will allow players to pick up the penguins and carry them about the obstacle courses. That also means that you can let them loose over the edge if you choose to do so.

Over on the Fall Guys Twitter account, Mediatonic offered a preview of the game’s upcoming Season 3.5 update. A video shared showed a player holding a penguin on what appeared to be the Tundra Run round, but instead of leaving the penguin be or escorting it to a safer location, the player chucked it over the side of the course.

I guess I can tell you one thing about the Season 3.5 update...

We've added Bert, Bort, and Bart in to a few extra levels...

Which means you can finally do THE THING™ pic.twitter.com/HsvSq9bPpj

— Fall Guys ❄️ Season 3 Out Now! (@FallGuysGame) January 18, 2021Super

The same will inevitably happen whenever that Season 3.5 update drops as well and players are able to get their hands on these penguins outside of the normal rounds they’re available in. There’ll be people who do it regardless of whether they played Super Mario 64 or not, but those who did play the classic Mario game will recall exactly why this moment is referred to as “THE THING” in the tweet above.

Super Mario Crossover 3.5 New Edition

In Super Mario 64, players at one point have to carry a penguin back to its mother in exchange for a golden star. After you’ve obtained your reward, you’re free to toss that penguin over the edge of the icy level without worrying about any consequences. Other players within the replies to the initial tweet shared clips of the original moment unfolding for those who never played Super Mario 64 and are out of the loop.

Super Mario Crossover 4.0

Whether you played the previous game or not, you can expect this feature to drop in the Season 3.5 update. When that update will release has not yet been announced, but we can expect a full set of patch notes to detail everything that’s changed whenever it’s ready to go.
